But I didn't gave up… Found the updates from the download center and ran them – but with the same error. When I checked for updates Windows Update stated that my computer is up to date. I checked Windows Update and indeed the updates were missing. Googling around, I found that I needed some updates I needed before installing the service pack. But I got an error: 'the update is not applicable to your computer'. So I downloaded the service pack from Microsoft Download Center, and tried to install it. But sadly I was mistaking.Īfter two months I realized that the service pack had not been installed. So when SP1 for Windows 7 came out, I didn't even think about installing it… Windows Update will take care of it for me.
My computer is set to use automatic updates from Windows Update.
